Job Specification for SESR Foundation’s Health Chaupal Program
Background of the Project: Project: Health Chaupal
The SESR Foundation’s Health Chaupal Program is dedicated to improving rural health and wellness and addressing malnutrition issues among women and children in underserved communities. By providing essential healthcare services and nutritional support, we aim to enhance the quality of life and foster holistic development in these regions.
Our Health Chaupal initiative operates through Inractive Health Camps that deliver early intervention, healthcare, and multidisciplinary services directly to rural areas. This approach ensures that individuals, especially women and children, receive the necessary support to reach their full potential and improve their quality of life.
Role: Program Coordinator
Key Responsibilities:
- Visit villages and engage with local leaders, including Gram Pradhans and district administrative offices.
- Coordinate with government offices to ensure the smooth execution of the Health Chaupal programs at the village level.
- Facilitate access to healthcare services, nutritional support, and early intervention programs for women and children.
- Support the implementation of government schemes and provide assistance with obtaining necessary certifications and benefits.
- Organize community outreach activities to raise awareness about health and wellness.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the programs and report on progress.
Qualifications:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in community engagement and program coordination.
- Knowledge of rural health and wellness issues is preferred.
- Willingness to travel extensively to rural areas.

- Organizing of training programs & Health Camps
- Community resource mobilization & Coordination
- Planning and organizing health camps and training programs
- Forming support groups in the community
- Linking the Local Partners and Active families with the SESR Foundation’s Programs.
- Future planning and cluster mapping
- Any other activities given time to time
- MA Social Work disability Studies and Action/Public Health /developmental studies/Education/Child rights etc.
- MSW /MDRA/ MRSc/ MSc Psychosocial Rehabilitation /Psychiatric Social Work
- Minimum 2 to 5 years of relevant work of working with disability sector.
- Desirable: Experience in Community based rehabilitation
- Strong written and verbal communication and capability to relate and interact with multicultural teams.
- Giving close attention to details and demonstrated ability to handle sensitive or confidential information.
- Have an empathetic & compassionate attitude. Sensitive towards the needs of children
- Ability to analyse complex problems, craft possible solutions and recommendations.
